Our Practice

Woven Nest is a workshop-led theatre company based in North East England. We work with neurodivergent audiences and older people living in care homes.

We work across 3 core areas:

1

Intergenerational community linking.

2

Multi-sensory engagement for neurodiverse audiences.

3

Performance to platform creativity and challenge misconceptions.

Our Mission

To bring theatre to people.

We bring high quality theatre out of venues, and into the spaces that people live and learn.

To challenge thinking and generate conversation.

We raise awareness around age related issues while empowering older people to lead the conversation.

To realise the creative potential of neurodiversity.

We platform the creative potential of neurodivergent people, particularly people with dementia.

Our Core Values

We put quality before quantity.

We are a small organisation who value the creative process.

Our projects are people-powered.

At the heart of what we do are the communities that we collaborate with.

We say yes to innovative ideas.

Our projects are diverse and bold.
