Connecting Generations Through Play.
The Playfulness Project is an intergenerational community linking project, connecting older and younger people through engagement in activities that promote wellbeing, playfulness, creativity, and confidence.
Our resident clowns arrive at the schools armed with suitcases full of red noses, scarves and costumes ready the young people in clowning and performance technique, helping them to find their inner clown. Once our ‘trainee clowns’ have built their confidence we then plan visits to their local care home. Where we run intergenerational workshops; playing games, exchanging stories and learning new skills together.
The aim of the project is to spread joy, build confidence, connect and celebrate playfulness!
